Located at the north end of Balboa Park in one of San Diego’s historical neighborhoods, North Park is a unique community featuring pockets of original Craftsman homes and a distinctive Bohemian character.
This classic neighborhood has all the elements for an exciting new-home environment, and is in the midst of a renaissance that has brought new allure to an already enticing place. North Park affords residents every imaginable amenity in the local area, many within walking distance. The village setting promotes a pedestrian lifestyle that supports a strong sense of community spirit. This is evident in events such as the weekly Farmer’s Market and monthly Ray At Night — a North Park staple on the second Saturday of every month when the art galleries of Ray Street stay open late, uniting art enthusiasts from across the city. Special events including the annual North Park Spring Festival and North Park Lions Club Holiday Parade further promote neighborly warmth and charm.

Ray at Night is the wildly popular gallery walk the second Saturday of each month, taking place on Ray Street and adjoining areas. There are more than a dozen art galleries and hundreds of artists who participate in this event and has made it so successful that visitors come from far out of town to participate. Heaven Sent Desserts is located between Ray and 30th Streets on University Avenue.
Ray at Night, a gallery walk held the second Saturday of every month in North Park, is the largest monthly art event in San Diego, drawing over 1,500 people. From 6 to 9 p.m., you’ll find a wide variety of artwork on display including paintings, sketches, sculptures, ceramics, blown glass, organic art and jewelry.
The center of the arts, culture, and entertainment activity is Ray Street, a narrow one-way side street off of University Avenue, just east of 30th Street. On the second Saturday of each month, the galleries, shops, and businesses on and around Ray Street welcome artists, art lovers and the simply curious to explore the neighborhood's arts offerings during Ray at Night.
