A little about us ...
Heaven Sent Desserts was built from the ground up in 2005. We literally started with the dirt and built. We opened
3 April, 2006 and greeted our first customers then. This is the first restaurant of its owners, spearheaded by Lachlan Oliver, being the fulfillment of a long-held vision, a
winding road that brought his vision from conflict to heaven.
Our Staff is in continuous training by our Executive Chef to refine and to innovate our desserts. Auxiliary chefs are in dessert production all day. They all want to please and they listen to what you say - please talk to them. We want to bring great desserts from all over the world to you- and we strive to please you, our customers.
The Kitchen is built to the highest baking standards. Our equipment comes from all over the world. We are constantly improving the kitchen to enable us to provide you with better, more creative desserts and as we grow and become more experienced we are able to try more exotic and sophisticated recipes.
The Location in North Park was selected after surveying sites from Santa Barbara south to the border. North Park felt friendly and diverse -a good place for a first home. We wanted a location where we would grow with the community and also become part of the community. This is very important to us because we love what we do and want to establish a long term relationship with our customers.
The Restaurant Space was built to provide a contemporary, yet calm, setting to view the bustling urban scene at 30th and University. We have tried to create a relaxed and yet elegant atmostphere at Heaven Sent Desserts; most of all a friendly and welcoming place where you want to linger a while while tasting an intriguing or soothing dessert. At night we try to make the restaurant space glow like a luminous Edward Hopper painting.
The Scope We want to provide wonderful desserts to be enjoyed in the restaurant. We also do weddings and catering for all occasions. We love being creative and make you shine, so if you can dream it - we can make it. Please talk to our chefs about your special needs, we love a challenge!
